Ms. Jacobsma is a prominent workers’compensation and personal injury attorney in Southern California who has been practicing law for over 22 years. She began her career as an attorney with the Law Offices of Charles R. Weldon, where she met her respected partner, Paul D. Brau. Shortly after the death of Mr. Weldon, Ms. Jacobsma together with Mr. Brau formed the Law Offices of Jacobsma & Brau. Ms. Jacobsma takes pride that her reputation is earned by providing high quality, compassionate and aggressive legal representation. This reputation garners her the numerous referrals from past clients, attorneys and judges, and is the foundation of the success of her firm. She is the past President of the Southeast District Bar Association and served on the Board of Trustees for several years. Ms. Jacobsma also served as a mediator, arbitrator and early neutral evaluator for the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel. She has been a member of the Cerritos College Paralegal Advisory Committee for over 15 years. She is a member of California Applicants’ Attorneys Association and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles.

In addition to her busy practice, Ms. Jacobsma donates a substantial amount of her time to the community as a member of National Charity League, Inc., Whittier Chapter, serving with her daughter, Kelli, philanthropies in the Whittier and La Habra area, including Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Boys and Girls Clubs of Whittier and La Habra, the La Habra Children’s Museum, Los Angeles and Orange County libraries, Interfaith Food Center, and many others. She is a past Girl Scout Leader and has been actively involved in many community organizations.
